As grown adults we all have an outfit that we still tease our parents about. "Mom seriously, what were you thinking putting me in a full boddied one piece american flat at the age of 5?"

Well, here you go Ethan. You won't even have to think long and hard about which outfit was the most obnoxious. I'm making it easy on you. I can't help it. I love baby leg warmers, especially on these chunky monkey legs!

I absolutely love watching Ethan hang out with his daddy! Whether they are cuddling, talking, rocking, or getting ready for bed I just love the seeing them interact. Adam jokes about Ethan only recognizing me and my voice at this time but he is wrong. This little guy knows exactly who daddy is for sure!

A Photo Shoot in a Pod: The faces of Ethan

I knew from the day we registered that I was going to be a big fan of the pod. They are just so cute and the little picture on the front of the package with the baby all tucked inside was adorable. So before Ethan outgrows it, I wanted to get some pictures of him in it. However, I think I'm pushing the envelope here. He probably "outgrew" it shortly after birth.

This is one of my favorite pictures to date! I love the raised eyebrow!

One Month New

Ethan,
You are one month new today. In the past thrity days our lives have changed more than they have in the past 20 years. You have been such a joy from the moment we met you! I love seeing you change day by day. From your clothes getting tighter, to your hair growing longer, to your grasp getting stronger, it's amazing how much you are growing in such a short amount of time.

You are the best little cuddle buddy. I love it when you smile in your sleep. You are the squirmiest newborn I have ever met. You are the noisiest sleeper, which is good for me because I don't have to constantly check on you since I can hear you throughout the night. Your constant grunting is adorable. You spit up constantly, so even when I'm not around you I can still smell you because my clothers are always soiled with your curdled milk. I still can't get over how cute you are when you stretch, arching your back and scrunching your face. Even your cry is cute. I love the way you grunt and snort at the begining of each feeding, and the way you sigh to let me know your belly is full. You like to stretch your arms straight out and leave them there, and your dad and I like to watch as your muscles relax and you slowly bring them back down to your side. I love to see you milk drunk. It love the way your little belly button forms a spiral. Yesterday you smiled at me for the first time, and it was the best feeling in the world.

Happy first month of life! I can't wait to see how you grow!
